Police and other law enforcement agencies must be able to quickly and effectively secure a crime scene and preserve evidence for use in court and criminal proceedings. The Draganflyer X8 can quickly and quietly fly a non disruptive pattern over a crime scene, recording high resolution still pictures and video for use by law enforcement.

With still pictures and video from the Draganflyer X8, important visual features of crime scenes can be preserved in electronic form. Before any contamination degrades the crime scene, you can obtain pristine evidence for presentation to courts or other officials. Because the Draganflyer X8 is electric powered and nearly silent, disruption to the crime scene while gathering pictures and video can be minimized. The Draganflyer X8 UAV can preserve the crime scene and keep evidence intact until law enforcement requires it.

In the event of a major crime such as a homicide, getting evidence quickly becomes an extremely critical problem. Footprints, tire tracks and other evidence that is easy to disturb may be left at the crime scene, making walking through the area undesirable. Using the Draganflyer X8 UAV you can fly over the area and obtain high quality aerial pictures and video, without disturbing possible evidence. The Draganflyer X8 is powered by 8 brushless electric motors, allowing it to carry up to 1 kg (2.2 lbs) of cameras that can take pictures and video suitable for use as evidence.

Increased Payload Capability

The Draganflyer X8 UAV helicopter has a payload capacity of approximately1 kilogram (2.2 lbs),the largest of all the Draganflyer helicopters . To achieve this the Draganflyer X8 uses an innovative tilted eight-rotor design. The eight rotors are arranged as four counter-rotating offset pairs mounted at the ends of four carbon fiber arms. The four sets of matched counter rotating rotor blades provide differential thrust from four equally spaced points, which allows the Draganflyer X8 UAV helicopter to maneuver with precision and speed. The larger Draganflyer X8 also provides improved performance in the wind due to its larger size and weight. Using the offset layout of the rotors increases the thrust without increasing the size of the footprint, and naturally eliminates the loss of efficiency due to torque compensation.
